The partnership is characterised by a multidisciplinary composition, as it is formed by research institutes, control agencies and industry representatives. It has also an international nature, as 5 countries are represented. It is based on established cooperation networks, since most of the partners already participate in the Firearms Expert Group set up by the EU Commission, or they have already cooperated in research projects.
